Learning Programs

What We Do

There are four learning program sessions each year: seven week fall and spring semester, four week winter intersession, and four week SummerFest.

Fall Semester

Friday classes – October through November
On Fridays, there are seven class meetings per course and five different time periods, starting at 8:30 and ending at 4:30. LLI offers about five different courses in each time period. Off-Friday classes
See the course catalog for specific courses offered on days other than Friday

  • Only members may attend classes.
  • LLI hospitality rooms open 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
  • We encourage attendees to fill out and submit course evaluations forms so that we can upgrade our offerings as needed.
  • Attendance is taken at the door. Please inform your class manager if you cannot attend a class.

Winter Intersession

Wednesday Lectures in January

For four Wednesdays in January, LLI holds two guest lectures on a variety of topics.

  • Members and one guest per member can attend these lecture.
  • There is no hospitality room. However, you can purchase snacks and drinks at Down the Road Cafe in the Bertelsmann Campus Center.
  • There is no registration and attendance is not taken. We encourage members to come and bring possible new members!

Spring semester

SummerFest

Friday Lectures in June
For four Fridays in June, LLI holds guest lectures on a variety of topics. There are two lectures a day on a wide variety of topics.

  • Registration is online only through our website.
  • Costs and deadlines will also be on our website.
  • Non-members can pay a nominal fee to attend this session. It is a good way to experience LLI courses.

Learn all year long

LLI has four learning programs per year, all included as part of your membership. Take as many courses as you want.
