The final presentation in our Int ersession 2018 program was held on January 31 in Weis Cinema, before a packed house…only 2 or 3 empty seats! New Yorker cartoon ist Danny Shanahan wowed us with a fascinating talk and exposition of dozens of cartoons as well as some of the many front covers he has produced for the magazine. He distributed one of his cartoons and asked audience members to create a caption. The winner was selected by Danny and was to be presented with his cartoon artwork and their winning cartoon caption at a later date. Thanks to Danny and his wife, Janet Stetson, Bard’s own Director of Graduate Admissions, for their time and effort in putting together this most enjoyable final Intersession presentation of the year! Thanks to all our other great 2018 presenters: Lou Trapani, Don Fraser, Samantha Hill, and Lauren Rose.
Plans are moving ahead for Intersession, 2019. Please include your email address. Our goal is to have a completed roster of presenters finalized by June 1.
