Intersession Programs Were Popular

Varied Subjects

We were lucky with snow this year. The first three Wednesdays of Intersession were snow free, and the snowstorm that threatened the final day ended early enough for the program to proceed as planned. All sessions were well attended–for most, 70+people came to each Intersession program, both morning and afternoon, filling Weiss Cinema almost to capacity.

Intersession this year offered interesting presenters and an amazing array of subjects,  from Dr. Mark Isaccs talking about Sir Richard Burton to Felice Gelman’s experiences with theater in the West Bank to Anne Richey’s talk about John Burroughs’ Natural Religion. All three are LLI member-presenters.

Guests Get to Know LLI

Several LLI members invited friends who are not members to join them and get a taste of the LLI experience at Bard College. Many enjoyed lunch at the Down the Road Cafe between the morning and afternoon programs.
