Art in Conversation: LLI Wraps Up Interactive Tour Series
by L. Walker
Engaging with the Exhibition
On May 14, LLI hosted its fourth and final interactive art tour at the Hessel Museum. Designed to help members feel comfortable “talking about art,” the event brought together 34 attendees. Members broke into small groups to explore the Everything That Happens Will Happen Today exhibition, using guided prompts to spark lively discussions.
Insights from the Curators
A major highlight was the participation of five graduate student curators. They joined the groups at the end of each gallery visit to listen to member feedback and share their creative vision and intent for the exhibition.
Honoring a Successful Partnership
Following the tour, attendees raised a glass to Casey at a special reception. Casey is heading to the West Coast to pursue a doctorate. We thank him for this wonderful collaboration and wish him the best! Traditional Hessel tours will continue in 2027. This program was created by L. Walker in partnership with Casey Robertson, the Public Engagement Manager at the Center for Curatorial Studies.
Want to give back to the Hessel Museum?
Casey is looking for LLI volunteers to help with the upcoming “Family Day” event on Saturday, July 18, from noon to 4:00 PM (flexible shifts available). If you would like to support the museum and volunteer, please email [email protected] for more details or to sign up.
