LLI Calendar is busy
With over 90 different events on the LLI annual calendar and numerous emails about class dates, committee meetings, special events, and other administrative functions such as membership renewals, how can you keep track of what you want to do at LLI? Here are some easy ways to find what you want.
Website Homepage
The LLI website helps you keep track of all of this in three ways on the homepage:
- The pictures on the top of the home page show important events in the near future as well as other essential information. You can click on a slide image to link to more information about the slide topic.
- Just under the slides is Now at Bard LLI, which also shows upcoming events with links to pages on the website with more information.
- At the bottom of the home page, there is a list of up to six upcoming events on the LLI calendar with links to descriptions of the events.
Annual Calendar
The LLI Annual Calendar lists events for each academic year (July 1 – June 30). The annual calendar is developed by the Planning and Evaluation Committee and approved by the Council. Go to the LLI website under News + Events>Calendars>Annual Calendar.
The calendar currently shows two different tables:
- Dates for the 2018-2019 academic year (over 90 of them. LLI is busy.)
- Preliminary dates for the next 2019-2020 academic year starting July 1, 2019.
This can help those of us who plan our vacations around the LLI schedule or who want to tell our friends when they can apply as new members to LLI.
With all these LLI events, each table includes a search function. Start typing in the search box at the top of a calendar table, and the table will show all events that include that search item. For example, if you want to see Summerfest dates, simply type in “Summerfest” and the table will display everything with your search term.
Other Calendars
You might be interested in specific types of events, such as Programs or other Bard College events. These links are also on the website, under News + Events>Calendars. Simply hover over the News + Events topic in the top navigation bar and you will see these calendars on the left side of the displayed menu.
Note that Other Calendars also includes links to the Bard College and CCE calendars.
