LLI is using a different registration process for this coming Spring 2020 semester. We want to give you a heads up so that we are all ready for the changes.
Here are the key dates: the catalog will be available next Friday, January 24 and registration will open on Saturday, February 8, at 9 a.m. You will receive an email notice on February 8 close to 9:00 a.m. with the link to the registration form.
The spring catalog is an online catalog; you can click on a course title to read all about it. As usual, there’s the wonderful problem of choosing which class to register for when there are two or three classes you want but they are all at the same time. We can use the two weeks before registration opens to work out these difficult choices.
Registration will then be on a first-come, first-served basis. You will know immediately if there is space in the class you request and can decide to go to that second choice or to skip that period. You can also come back later to check whether space has opened up and change your registration.
Although registration “closes” on February 21, you will be able to change your course choices through the first two weeks of class — replacing the “drop/add” process of the past.
This is a change to our previous system, and we think the advantages of knowing your schedule right away and having the ability to adjust your schedule will make registration easier. If you have questions, email [email protected].
