We are heading towards winter and fewer opportunities for outdoor activities. But Bard’s Stevenson Athletic Center has a beautiful 25-yard, six-lane swimming pool and offers paid gym and pool memberships to the community, including LLI members.
The Athletic Center is open Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.

LLI has received a generous offer from the Bard Conservatory: “The Conservatory would like to offer complimentary tickets to the first US-China Music Festival concert (at the Fisher Center on October 19) to those from LLI who are interested.”

Bard High School Early College Program
LLI received wonderful thank you letters from students in the NYC Bard High School Early College Program (BHSEC). Every year, LLI provides financial help for expenses incurred during summer internships.
The Bard Early Colleges are founded on the belief that many high-school-age students are eager and ready for the intellectual challenges of a college education.

The Bard Calendar is Amazing

The CCS Bard Hessel Museum of Art is part of Bard’s Center for Curatorial Studies. It is a venue exploring various ways to present contemporary visual art and it serves as a laboratory for the graduate students at the Center for Curatorial Studies.

September 16 at Fisher Center
Plan now to attend a wonderful concert at the Fisher Center at Bard on September 16, celebrating Joan Tower, a world renowned composer who has offered music classes for LLI for the past seven years. In her very popular music classes, she brings conservatory student musicians who perform for and interact with LLI members.
